Hello!
Thank you for the query.
The pain in this area with bloody mucus discharge can indicate an abscess formation or even rectal fistula. If there is a pain and swelling between the buttocks, pilonidal cyst can be the reason.
Due to pus accumulation in the coccyx area, you get strong pain especially when touching it.
In case of abscess you need surgical incision to drain the pus and some test to diagnose the reason. If the pilonidal cyst is the reason, removal of it is necessary. Rectal ultrasound should be also done to determine if there is any fistula.
Please visit a surgeon or proctologist and have physical examination first.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
The pain feels more muscular, as it is not sore to touch the anus area at all. It hurts when sitting, and when rising from sitting position. My diet as been poor recently (last 10 days), so the mucus and wind could be more related to that, rather than the coccyx maybe?

Hard to tell not being able to examine you.
Please take a look at your area between buttocks. Make sure there is no pain and swelling in that area and no tiny holes (can look like on this picture: WWW.WWWW.WW
If you feel this is more muscular pain, you may try Diclophenac 75 mg (along with Omeprasole 20 mg to protect stomach). If this will ease the pain, muscular source is most probable.
Mucus and wind can be of course a symptoms of bad diet or some infection. Please increase fiber rich products and start probiotic intake. If it wont help, stool tests can give some answers.
Regards.
