My HbA1c level taken yesterday is 11.9%
My post prandial blood sugar level 2 hours after lunch yesterday was 162.
The medications I am taking are as follows:
1. Diamicron MR 30 mg 1-0-1 (for diabetes)
2. Walaphage 500 0-1-1 (for diabetes)
3. Asomex 5mg 1-0-0 (for blood pressure)
4. Tenormin 50mg 1-0-0 (for blood pressure)

Higher HbA1c indicates higher risk/chances of diabetic complications. So for better control, I would suggest to take insulin Glargine injections at bed time after diabetologist consultation. You can start with dose 6 IU.
Otherwise, if you are not comfortable with insulin injection than you can take morning dose of tablet walaphage along with tablet diamicron after diabetologist consultation.You may require further dose adjustment as per sugar level.
Along with that do regular blood sugar level check up at least three times a day. Watch for hypoglycemia symptoms sweating, fast heartbeats, severe hunger. Follow strict diabetic diet.
