What Is The Thyroid Scintiscan Test Supposed To Reveal?
Question: After taking various mgs of Synthroid for a low functioning thyroid FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS,. for the last few months, my thyroid began working on its own. After a blood test on Monday, my PCP ordered a two-day test requiring a radio-active dye to be swallowed. What is the test supposed to reveal? I mentioned to her that it was getting hard for me to swallow.
