What Is The Treatment For A Retina Bleed?
Question: What is the treatment for a retina bleed? Have appt. With retina consultants on Friday and would like to know what to expect.
Brief Answer:
Depends on the extent of bleed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Retinal haemorrhages, especially mild ones not associated with chronic disease, will normally resorb without treatment. Laser surgery is a treatment option which uses a laser beam to seal off damaged blood vessels in the retina. The treatment therefore depends upon the extent which needs to be assessed. Wait for the retinal consultants to suggest on Friday.
Feel free to write back.
