I am not sure if this is a general question or it has to deal with a patient. I shall anyway answer it as a general question.

Infection of gall bladder which is referred to as cholecystitis is managed initially with antibiotic therapy and supportive measures. This is most likely followed by gall bladder removal either by laparoscopy or open laparotomy.
