Question: My husband has reoccurring ear problems . He has had tube in both ears. He has lost the hearing in one ear and now the other one has fluid build up behind his eardrum. He has been on 3 different antibiotics and now on predesone. Nothing is helping . He has constant pressure all over his head and now getting some blurred vision. He is afraid he will loose hearing completely

The need is to look for a focus of infection in the nose or throat which can be ruled out with complete ENT examination. If the tubes are not doing work, please consult your doctor and discuss regarding the insertion of T Tubes which stay very long than the normal grommets. Regarding hearing loss, please upload the audiometry reports of the patients so that I can comment on that. Feel free to ask another query. Regards
