Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic

Dear Mr XXXXXXX
The most common cause for rash on 2 month baby is likely to be
1. Excessive oil residue: Could happen due to not removing the oil residue after giving oil massage
2. Allergy
Clobetasone is a Steroid. I personally do not recommend its application to 2 month old baby
Do send me clinical photograph of baby for further assessment. Also do let me know the duration of rash.
Awaiting your response

duration of rash kind is around a week.
it first started as something like small very tiny pimples kind...which is neither itchy nor have a burning kind of sensation. when this happend, i found that the skin is dry and i started applying Jhonson & Jhonsons body lotion...after apllying this the dryness has come to an end and rash also seemed to end..but i find the skin color has changed there...small white patch is seen.

Brief Answer:
No Steroid cream to be applied

Dear XXXXXXX
The white patch could be due to post inflammatory hypo pigmentation. It will improve over period of time. I would not recommend any steroid cream for local application.
Which oil are you using for baby. Also do send me clinical photograph for assessment.

Brief Answer:
It is post inflammatory hypo pigmentation
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
The white patch is Pityriasis alba( post inflammatory hypo pigmentation). Do not worry it will settle down on its own. Applying oil, leaving it unwashed will further invite fresh rash. It is very important to remove all oil residue.
I would suggest the following.
1. Apply oil all over body before giving bath, baby massage will be very helpful. Use equal mixture of coconut oil, almond and olive oil. Massage will improve the blood circulation too and will also give a glow to skin
After massage it is important to remove oil residue from skin
2. After massage give warm water bath. Use Himalaya baby bath for body and baby shampoo for scalp. It helps removing oil residue from body.
3. Post bath: Wipe the body using soft cloth. Apply little quantity of Cetaphil Moistorizing cream on face, a very little quantity. Dab it with Himalaya Baby powder
