Detailed Answer:

Hello and welcome,

I can understand your concern

Tracheobronchomalacia is a condition that is characterized by the flaccidity of the supportive cartilages of the trachea and bronchi.

Usually, its cause is hereditary but there are others such as the most common of several infections of the airways.

The main symptoms are a chronic cough and occasional dyspnea.

The treatment is mostly with surgery with putting the stents in the trachea or airways to prevent its collapse and thus improving the cough.
