What Kind Of Doctor Should I See About The Following

Question: What kind of doctor should I see about the following problem: I am 70 years old, in general good health and recently (within the past four days) experienced out of breathlessness when doing the most mundane activity (walking from car to house). Couldn't sleep well last night. Feel slight heart palpitations with the breathlessness, not otherwise.
Brief Answer:
Cardiologist and pulmonologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor
According to your signs and symptoms of you were my patient I would recommend you to do an ECG and an ultrasound of the heart.Along with them it would be better to do also a chest X ray .
If there is a heart problem than the cardiologist will advise you further for the treatment. If not then he/she should order a pulmonologist consultation to search if the breathlessness is from lung problems
So you need a cardiologist and a pulmonologist consultations.
