What Kind Of Poisoning Could Lead To Sleeplessness And Body Pain?

Question: I BELIEVE I AM BEING POISONED. My hands are blotchy, my legs hurt all the time. I used to sleep 8 hours nightly, now I never sleep over 6 or 7. I have had extensive blood tests with my Doctor and all results came back negative. I have an evil person that I believe wants to harm me but I have no concrete proof to bring to the police. I contacted The National Poison Control Center and they said go to my local police station and they could test for many kinds of poisons. I did and they refused to test for anything. My entire body aches and I am in excellent health except for this. My cholesterol is 172, my blood pressure is usually 110 or less and my blood sugar is also low. I walk 3 miles daily, don't drink any alcohol. I have never used any drugs. I don't use nicotine or caffeine. I even recently quit drinking my 20 ounce daily soda. I'm 5' 10' and weigh 180#. I rarely eat out and never eat fast food. I eat plenty fruits and vegetables which I soak in cool soap water before storing in refrigerator. I need help in identifying this poison before this person KILLS ME! Please help! What kind of poison or substance could be doing this to me? Thank you in advance!!

Advice to follow up with your primary care provider
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Since you have mentioned that you have earlier undergone evaluation, I am assuming that conditions like thyroid issues, diabetes etc have been ruled out.
If you are worried about exposure to toxins, lead poisoning is an important consideration which can cause body pain and neurological issues like sleep problems. Lead exposure can occur in people living in older homes built before 1980.
You can also discuss other possibilities like chronic fatigue syndrome causing your symptoms with your doctor.
Hope this answers your question
Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Hello Dr.Lekshmi,
My home was built in 2006 and I assure you there is no lead pipes. Also I buy distilled water and use for drinking and cooking.
There is something that's not right here. Don't you have any ideas as to the poison?
I have a major problem here!!
My life is at stake here!!
Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Given your symptoms, if poisoning need to be considered, the first consideration is heavy metal poisoning . Heavy metal poisoning can be through eating contaminated food or drinking water or absorption through skin. The metals of concern include lead, thallium and copper. The diagnosis can be made through blood tests assessing the level of heavy metals.
