What Medication Can Be Given For Stomach Pain In A Child?

Question: my 7yes old has fever with stomach pain the doc suggested meftal spas for tummy pain but he has fever now what medication do I give him ...have already given meftal spas can I also give him calpol suspension. .please advice..thanks

Hello,

Meftal spas is given for pain.
You can give Calpol suspension for fever, it is nothing but paracetamol syrup.
Give Calpol according to weight of the kid, give 15 Mg per kilogram weight thrice a day.
Do a urine routine test to rule out urinary tract infection as the pain is confined to abdomen.

thank you doc. .I had been yo his pediatrician earlier today checked him..gave gastrointestinal tables for the pain adviced calpol for fever 5ml every 4 hours..however towards the later part of the evening he's complaining of throat pain..what do I give him and should I go back to the pediatrician as well. ..thank you
