Question: Urine culture negative, urine routine pus cell20, no fever, only tlc 15000 k, having last trimester of pregnancy, kindly prescribe which antibiotic which we shuld give and it safe at 40 weeks for urine iinfection, and no vaginal discharge also, ...

If no organism is isolated in urine culture test, then the urine routine and microscopy examination should be done to rule out any error in reporting or incorrect sample collection or contamination.
If the repeat sample show similar result, then Nitrofurantoin tablet should be given as antibiotic as it is safe in pregnancy.

Myself nsg officer in XXXXXXX i heard tablet nitrofurantoin tab martifer n is safe in pregnancy but should not be given in last trimester, if any other drug with dose plz recommend
