Question: hello sir, I have done a tsh test in the month of Dec 2017. and that time my tsh was 12. then I took medicine for 3 months and then didn't get time to consult a doctor so stopped taking medicine. lately I have done my test and my report is below. can u please suggest me should I take tablets or I should just normally o exercise.
Brief Answer:
You should use the medication
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
TSH is released from a part of the brain. It goes to the thyroid gland in the neck to tell it to make thyroid hormone.
In most persons, the reason for abnormal levels of hormones does not correct itself on its own and exercise does not improve or help thyroid hormone levels.
Low levels of thyroid hormone can cause a number of problems such as weight gain, hair loss, fatigue, dry skin and hair.
It would be best to use the medication given to try and normalize the levels.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
body needs thyroid hormone to function properly
Detailed Answer:
HI
TSH and thyroid hormones are made by the body. The body needs it, the tablets are used to either give thyroid hormones if the persons levels are too low or reduce levels if they are too high.
TSH is used to determine whether a person has low or high thyroid hormone levels coming from the thyroid gland.
It is not harmful, it is used to monitor. Normally checked every 6 weeks initially.Your doctor will check it after this time has passed.
The medicine would depend on your exact test results. The results were not stated. Because thyroid hormone is so important to body function, it would be best if you are monitored by your doctor who can examine and assess you regularly.
In terms of a cure, there are different reasons for the conditions of the thyroid, some will go and some will require continued treatment. Your doctor will be able to do additional tests to determine which type you likely have
