Brief Answer:

Please refer to the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

After going through your medical query i would like to tell you that there is nothing like that and every medicine reacts differently to every individual having there own positive and negative effects.

If some medicine is found to have too many adverse effects its either not released in the market for sale.

As you have mentioned that you are using amlodipine and metoprolol, considering your age group these are a good medicine combination for hypertension.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:

Hello Again

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Both have a different side effect profile like dry cough is common with lisinopril and slight swelling in feet is common with amlodipine.

But amlodipine is more effective in bp control for age group above 60 years.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
