Brief Answer:
GERD, gastritis or hiatal hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
In most cases, excessive burping is caused by esophageal or gastric issues such as GERD, gastritis or hiatal hernia. It may or may not be associated with heartburn, nausea or loss of apetite. Less common causes are coeliac, food allergy, IBS or some neurological disorders. In every case, you should avoid food that makes you feel bloated such as carbonated drinks, alcohol, fatty and spicy meals. Diagnostic work up should be done if there is no improvement and it includes endoscopy and barium swallow test.
Medications such as pantoprasol may help.
WIsh you good health. Regards
