What Might Be The Cause And The Required Treatment For Gastric/stomach?

My wife is having the following gastric/stomach symptoms. What might be the cause and the required treatment? Does it sound like a stomach flu?
It is currently Wednesday morning with the following symptom history:
Started Sunday after going to toilet after stomach ache.
After passing motion for second or third time it became a sharp pain, ongoing. Solid motion. Quite a bit of gas.
Stomach medicine - tried lacteol which stopped pain a while, also taken Gaviscon
One hour later felt sharp pain again
Took two panadols Sunday midnight, pain stopped till next day.
Also taken charcoal Monday.
Next day better but pain starts at night on and off.
Feel a bit of heat in stomach.
Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I have gone through your wife history and understood her concerns.
With regards to her symptoms like stomach cramp , passing motions I would like to say as follow:
1. It may be related with stomach flu and gastrointestinal infection. I would like to know if she has fever too?
2. I would like to know if she is vaccinated or passed covid 19. In such cases it may cause gastrointestinal symptoms.
3. Food poising is another cause of her symptoms
If I were your treating doctor I would reccomend to use prilosec ( PPI treatment) twice per day; gaviscon 3 times per day after meal and probiotics for at least 10 days. If she will have abdominal cramps than she can use butiscopolamine pills.
Meantime I would suggest plenty of water, soups, have often and small amount of meal. Avoid spicy, desserts, oranges and lemons.
I am waiting for more information from you.
Hope it was helpful to you!
