Brief Answer:
To get a confirmation as step by step approach

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Also noted previous communications with another Doctors.
The most important general rules about hernia are as follows:
First of all, get a confirmation by examination by a General Surgeon.
Confirmation by a Real time Ultrasonography and also to know the size of defect (neck) as this determines the urgency of repair. If the neck is narrow
then there are chances of obstruction of the internal abdominal contents like intestines and further complications needing to have an emergency life saving surgery.
Large defects usually allow the return of the contents to abdominal cavity.
Thirdly to get corrected all the medical problems, get fit for anesthesia and surgery.
It is the opinion of the operating Surgeon whether to go for an open repair or laparoscopic repair. You already have previous abdominal surgeries which may have a bearing on the decision.

I hope this answer helps you.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

Give feedback after a clinical evaluation and investigations.
Take care.
With Regards.

Thank You. I am now afraid that of this situation, as I need to lose at least 70 + pounds due to hypothyroidism, (actually the thyroid just burned out), which will take a lot of time. With This timeline will it make a more dangerous out come? Stress will make this more dire also? I am embarrassed & ashamed how quickly this happened. Anything dangerous that will happen while I will be losing this weight?

Please get a clinical examination and ultrasonography to confirm what the problem is and to know the diameter of the neck of the sac if at all hernia is present.
