Hello doctor, Sorry I meant boil?
Brief Answer:
Antibiotic ointement
Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, help again.. Boil occurs due to a localized skin infection and pus accumulation so you should apply warm compresses three to four times daily, once the boils forms a head it shall start to drain in the following days.. once it drains you should wash it with an antibacterial soap or an antiseptic solution as detol for medical purposes until all the pus drains. Once drained you should apply an antibiotic ointement three times daily with bandage coverage of the wound until it heals.. however if you develop fever or the skin around the boil becomes tense and painful or you develop a lymphnode reaction then you shouls seek medical care for surgical drainage.. i hope you find this helpful. if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion..
