What Period Is Safe To Have Unprotected Intercourse And Avoid Pregnancy?

On 3rd day of period it is safe
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Congratulations for marriage and wish you happy married life.
What you are asking is called safe period. It is the period of menstrual cycle during which there is almost no chance of being pregnant though you do sex without condom.
Normal menstrual cycle is 28-30 days. When menses starts, it is called 1st day of cycle.Ovulation (releasing of ovum form ovary and reaches to uterus through fallopian tube) occurs around 14-16th day of cycle. For pregnancy successful meeting of male sperm and female ovum is must.Ovum remain viable for pregnancy for 2-3 days after ovulation. So in general there will be highest chances of pregnancy if you have successful sex/intercourse during 13 to 19th day of menstrual cycle.
The safest period is 1st 10 days of menstrual cycle and last 4-7 days of regular cycle (25th to 28th day). Day 11th to 13th and 20th to 24th cant be predicted. Better to use condom during this period.(variation of +/- 2 days is there in menstrual cycle beginning and in ovulation).
With this information you can understand that on 3rd day menstruation pregnancy is not at all possible. It is safe to do sex without condom on 3rd day.
(Note: I am just confused: you mentioned name XXXX,in sex male but you mentioned you are in 3rd day of menstruation. I think you are asking about your wife.)
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards and all the best,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
