Antibiotics and cough/cold medications
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Urinary infection with staph aureus is uncommon.
I would request you to attach the reports so that I better able to help you out. Taxim o and zocef both are same group of antibiotic that is cephalosporin and usually not given together.
Alkasol is an alkalizing agent and prevents growth of bacteria in urinary tract.
Cough/cold in this age is usually due to some viral infection. It does not need any specific treatment unless associated with breathing difficulty and it improves with antiallergic and cough medication.
I won't get worried for cough/cold if baby is otherwise active, not running high grade fever, taking feeds well and there is no associated breathing difficulty.
Antiallergic like chlorpheniramine with decongestant like phenylephrine helps in cold and running nose. Giving bronchodilator like salbutamol helps in relieving cough. These medications are available in liquid form and I request you to get it prescribed by a pediatrician.
Ultrasonography of kidney should be done if there is evidence of urinary infection in this age.
I request you to attach the reports and provide me the details so that I can help you better.

is this antibiotics harmful for my baby
either doctor's check up was careless
Start with the prescribed antibiotic and send me the reports
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I would request you to attach the reports so that I can find out the exact problem.
There are only two antibiotics in the prescription and third one is urinary alkalizing agent not an antibiotic.
You can start with the prescribed medications. You can give these antibiotics. The prescribed dosage are appropriate for this age and there is no major side effects when given in this dosing.
Meanwhile observe the baby for improvement or worsening of symptoms as mentioned and attach the reports.
Please consult your pediatrician for evaluation of cough/cold and prescription of medications as I have mentioned earlier.
Waiting for your response.
Thanks.
