Brief Answer:
Continuous hiccups

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Continuous hiccups can be caused due to irritation of diaphragm which could be due to gastric acidity, gastroesophageal reflux disease, viral infection, kidney problem, low blood calcium, some medicines, etc. It can be managed by identifying the cause and treating it, non-medicinal treatment, medicines and mild surgery.

Drink lots of clean water. Following medicines can be tried, one at a time. If it is due to acidity, then take a tablet of omeprazole 20 mg and see if it gets better. Domperidone can be tried for hiccups in dose of 2-3 times a day. Take a tablet or spoon of Gelusil. This will provide minerals. Tulasi Arka by Sri Sri Tattva can also be used for hiccups and viral infection.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
