Question: I’m Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...I’m 42 and didn’t get periods from last 2 years. However every month at the time of period I get pain in my lower abdomen. Ultrasound during this period shows blood clot in the uterus. But when I got ultrasound done during non pain period it was absolutely normal. My Doc says it is menopause symptoms. I get this pain every month which disappears automatically after 2-3 days. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

I have gone through the details. Your symptoms look like it is due to menopause. It would help me if you can attach your ultrasound reports so that I can explain it to you better. If its menopause then you have attained your menopause early. Do you have a family history of menopause at this age?

The symptoms will subside with time. I do not think there is anything to worry about.

I hope this answered your query.

Hi,

I saw the report. This is a normal report. Can you upload the one which showed blood clot? Can you please confirm if you have a family history of menopause at this age? Do you have any co-morbidities such as diabetes, BP or thyroid? Are you on any medications?

Looking forward.

Hi,

Okay, there is nothing to worry, it will settle with time. You can check your thyroid levels. If its normal, do not worry. If the pain is affecting your daily life then you may have to go for Hormone replacement therapy.

I hope this answered your query.
