Hi Dr. Bishnoi,
The answers he is giving to questions does not match the question. He shaved his face and the last time before an episode he shaved his head and his reasoning was because somebody told him that if he had hair on his face It meant he Thought of himself better than other people. He had to break down and cry sessions on Friday one of which she said it’s so hard to be good and the other he couldn’t understand why people didn’t get along. He is beginning to hyper-focus on exercise and saying he is fat and he is not. Listening to loud church music repetitiously in the evening and then singing Claus is coming to town in the morning. I told him he needs to go to a counselor As he does not want to go to the hospital. I am afraid to put them in my car and drive him. I am currently not home and afraid that he could potentially harm me. I know he never would want to but I know when the psychosis is happening it’s not him. Last time he attack to me he said he thought they betrayed him. When I ask him how he can’t really give me an answer.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Antipsychotics can be given to reduce the aggressive behaviour.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The symptoms like sudden change in behavior, shaving his head without any proper explanation, symptoms like someone is talking with him, odd behavior and thoughts could be occurring due to some psychotic episode. He might be having some psychotic episode. This could be the reason of abrupt change in his behavior, he can even become suspicious against you too. If there was history of attack on you then better to consult a psychiatrist for him.
If he is not on any medicines then in present situation drugs like Olanzapine or Risperidone or Quetiapine can be used. The drugs are anti-psychotic drugs and has good efficacy. Olanzapine or Risperidone can even be given by mixing with food or liquids and are available in tasteless or odorless preparations too.
If he doesn't get agree to visit a psychiatrist then since you are his mother you can consult a psychiatrist for him. To reduce his violent behavior medicines are needed.
Thanks.
Please don't hesitate to ask for more clarifications.
