What Should I Do About Severe Rashes That Is Caused By Lyrica?
Question: I use Lyrica 450 MG every 12 hours. I have developed an incredible rash. It is so bad I need some counter agent to kill this rash. It has become life threatening. I am 100% positive the Lyrica is causing the rash to grow it is primiarly on my butt and lower back legs. The only way to remove this rash is by intense scratching, it has a film under the rash if I can grab that film I can remove the rash but the pain is incredible. Mike

Hello,
I think you are suffering from an allergic reaction to lyrica. Firstly you should stop the medication and than use an antihistamine like cetrizine or benadryl to ease rush and iching. Using a corticosteroid ointment can ease rush. Dont scratch it.Go immediately to Emergency Room if you see:
Increasing pain or discoloration in the rash area
tightness or itchiness in the throat
difficulty breathing
swelling of the face or extremities
fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher
