Hi,

I understand your concerns about Cervical Encirclage ( Stitch). Cervical stitch is a like closing mouth of a bag with thread. String thread / tape is used to close mouth (opening) of womb to prevent early delivery of baby when cervix is short.

Therefore it is removed before delivery of the baby in normal delivery and after baby is safely taken out in case of cesarean delivery. Cervical Stitch cannot be left long time inside the body as this may lead to other problems and there is no use of it in fibroid or anything.

What if we are planning 2nd child I have to again get cervix stitched? Or should I keep it stitched till I plan 2nd child

Stitch needs to be removed during delivery of current pregnancy. Stitch again may be considered in next pregnancy if cervix is short that time.
