What Should Be Done After Irregular Use Of Contraceptive Pills?
Question: I have been on and off birth control for 4+ years. This month, I got my period in the middle of the birth control pack, and someone told me to stop taking it for a week if that happens. So I stopped last Monday (it was the 2nd week of my pack) I was going to start back up again today, but had unprotected sex last night. Should I start the pills again or take Plan B? Or both?
Brief Answer:
You need plan B and whole pack also.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Since you stopped the pack in middle, you are not protected now. So you need to take plan B as soon as possible and then start with the next pack for further protection.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
