Question: hey doc 29 days ago my puppy bit me in the lips i went to the doctor after 3 days and he told me there is nothing to worry but still as a precaution gave me 3 doses of rabiwax...1 ml...on days 0,7,21.....my puppy bit me again after 1 week in my hand and day before yesterday in my ears....i am scared like anything...i have asked the same question before but the question which i have right now is...suppose my puppy is actually rabid....will the 3 injections protect me against rabies at all???....i finished my 3rd injection on 5th march wednesday....i have heard that doctors prescribe 2 injections against puppy bites....is it true!!by the way my puppy is all healthy till now ...playing and eating superbly there is no way he came in contact with a rabid animal in the last 2 months....i am scared that it can get rabies from the mother....but talked to the owner of the pup ho says that the mother is healthy and fine.....is it all a scare or there is really a reason to worry...i am having a choking feeling and i have a histpry of anxiety...i went to the appolo clinic and met very competent and experienced doctor....and consulted with 1 more doctor on the internet and 4 vets and about 10 people who has told me nothing to worry...but i am just not convinced.....should i go to another doctor should i take 2 more shots..what should i do to get this out of my mind!!!

Thanks doctor would be taking it right away....for me and my wife.....she was also bitten.....i have read in the WHO report that if the dog is healthy after 10 days of bite vaccine can be discontinued.....my puppy is healthy after 29 days of bite.. also tell me if 3 doses of rabiwax was enough to protect me against rabies for the previous 2 bite!!

i went to the doctor in appolo clinic some other doctor met me.....she said that yes i require 2 more doses of anti rabies....but said since i have taken the 3rd dose of rabiwax on 5th march which was a wek before she said she would consider this as the 4th vaccine which is taken in day 14 of post exposure shots and adviced me to take the 5th on day 28th which is 2 week after the this shot.... what should i do...??? please find the details below: date of bite-9th february 2014.....on lips but no blood.... vaccine suggested-3 by doctor on wednesday 12th march on 0,7,21 took 1st vacine on 12th march 2nd bite-16th february 2014 .......on finger little blood..... took 2nd vaccine on 19th of feb took 3rd vaccine on 5th of march 3rd bite-8th march on ears....lot of blood.... went to doc 11th march internet doctor:take 2 doses on days 0 and 3.... apollo clinic advised:take 1 dose right away....ie on 11th march,and 2nd dose on 25th march puppy health: perfectly fine...playing properly...eating properly...sleeping properly...drinking water(when mixed with cerelac)..... my health: fine...but pain in neck and ears...feverish feeling in the morning and late evning...drinking water normally but nothing recently...from 4 weeks... i make noise by grinding of teeth all night and my jaws make noise when i move them.....but this is my childhood habit should i show a dentist...? pain in jaws recently...anxiety about rabies from the last 1 month.... sorrry for asking so many questions... is there any chance of rabies now? is my health condition a symptom of rabies? do i need to worry at all? plz help thanks
