What Should Be The Water Intake After A Tonselectomy?

Question: My 17 year old niece had a tonselectomy 2 weeks ago, and was re-admitted 6 days ago to the hospital because of a dr who had given her torrodol for pain which caused her tonsils to bleed very badly and they had to do a second surgery to cauterize her tonsils. She was discharged on Saturday, and while at the hospital, the nurse had told us to make sure she drank a few sips of water, or juice every hour even through the night. Is this still necessary now that she's home and drinking fairly regularly?
Brief Answer:
hi and welcomw to hcm
Detailed Answer:
It is not necessary after 7 days has passed. She should drink more often for next 4 days but not every hour. She can drink glass of water before sleep and then in the morning, there is no need to wake her up because of it. If you notice bleeding again, you should visit doctor. wish you good health.regards
