What Steps Should I Take I Got Some Blood Tests That Showed Higher-than-usual Bilirubin ?
Question: Hi, I got some blood tests that showed higher-than-usual bilirubin and did an ultrasound which showed that my gallbladder was somewhat inflamed, but there were no gallstones. I was also given antibiotics for bacteria in my urine, but was told that this wouldn't be connected to the gallbladder inflamation. I am worried about why my gallbladder might be inflamed (I was noticing that the pelvic lymph node on my right side is a little bit bigger than normal; a couple years ago it got quite big and I wasn't given a definite reason). I've also been quite tired lately, although I was more fatigued last week, and my stool is more of a light yellow-brown color than I am used to. I talked to a few doctors and the first two I talked to said I had some jaundice although the third did not. What steps should I take?
Brief Answer:
Not related to antibiotics.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Stones are the main reason for the inflammation of the gallbladder.
You didn't had stones and sometimes inflammation can be present without stones or if there is sludge.
Antibiotics you took can't cause it.
There is no special treatment needed.
You should reduce fat in your diet especially saturated fats, processed meat , sugars and bread and increase fruits and vegetables, nuts etc.
Hope I have answered the question.

Thanks.
