What Test Is Required For An Angiogram Using A CT Scan?

Question: I would like to get a angiogram for my father, but I would like to use CT scan instead. Can you please advise what should be the technical terms to say that to the diagnostics center? I would like to do that under 'self' diagnosis.

There are couple of types of CT coronary angiography, based on the chemical that they use. Any suggestion on this?
Brief Answer:
See the description.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The radiologist will use iodinated contrast medium which we don't need to suggest them.
They use a type of contrast medium according to their protocol.
Also, for the best images to be obtained, your heart rate should be between 60-70 per minute.
If you are already on beta blockers and your resting heart rate is in same range, otherwise they will give you iv beta blockers before procedure.
They may give nitroglycerin spray to dilate the vessel.
These all instructions will be given to you by radiologist.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
