What There Is Stabbing Pain And Smelly Stool During Appendicitis?
Additional information required
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms
Pain in left side of abdomen and smelly stools are unlikely to be due to septic complications. Septicaemia usually presents with following symptoms and features
1. Fever especially high grade fever associated with chills and rigors
2. Loss of appetite
3. Severe pain and tenderness in abdomen especially so if the foci of infection is in abdomen
4. Vomiting
5. Distension of abdomen
Septicaemia usually presents with some or all of above symptoms. If you do not have any associated symptoms it's unlikely to be due to septicaemia, its more likely to be due to Colitis with associated impacted stools.
It would be very helpful if you could provide me with the following additional information
1. Do you have fever ?
2. Are you constipated?
3. Do you pass hard stools ?
4. Do you have any Urinary complaints?
Awaiting your response
Take care
