Question: What triggers women sexually?
We know that men are largely triggered visually by sight. Women seem to be more triggered by words and touch. In addition to these, is there medical advice that can aid or assist husbands? Or are there things that husbands can do to make for a closer sexual relationship between the two of them?
How can us men do a better job in this area?

Hi XXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.
You might be aware that every woman is different in her mental make up and understanding women is a controversial topic. However, there have been medical studies done on sexual behavior of women and some of the facts have been known.
Sexual thoughts in women are not entirely physical. Women are largely triggered by the status, confidence, and competence of their partners. Most women prefer romantic ambiance to get sexually aroused. They respond positively if the man has shows desire for her. This includes close emotional bonding, lots of foreplay and knowing what she really wants.
Research shows that sensing an opportunity to be sexual, the partner’s neediness, or an awareness of one or more potential benefits or rewards that are very important to them (but not necessarily sexual), women move from a sexual neutrality to seeking stimuli necessary to ignite sexual desire.
This sexual desire would be experienced as a craving for sexual sensations for their own sake, it also might involve a desire to experience physical and subjective arousal
and perhaps release of sexual tension. Therefore, sexual desire then is a responsive
rather than spontaneous event.
It has been found that the rewards of emotional closeness—the increased commitment, bonding, and tolerance of imperfections in the relationship—together with an appreciation of the subsequent well-being of the partner all serve as the motivational factors that will activate the cycle.
Although the woman is moved to be sexual by the expectation of increased
intimacy rather than by a strong biological force, a pleasant physical experience—which is likely accompanied with time spent in nongenital and genital non intercourse stimulation—is necessary to allow this motivation to continue in the long term.
Hope your query is answered.
