Hi,
Doxepin has different indications.
It can be used for insomnia and less commonly, for depression and anxiety.
The doses are high for depression, up to 300mg a day. It can be taken as 150mg as a single dose but if higher doses are required, then it should be taken 12 hourly.
For insomnia, small doses are used, typically 3 to 6 mg

Thank you. Why then, would she be prescribed 200mg of doxepin along with Celexa? I don't know the dosage..
Brief Answer:
need to speak to her doctor for clarification
Detailed Answer:
HI
Celexa is also used for depression and anxiety. Normally these meds are not combined in most persons since they can cause an large increase in serotonin levels.
In some cases, if depression is resistant , different medications can be combined.
Would need to speak to her doctor to make sure that he or she requires her to use both meds
