Brief Answer:
Can be infection or plaque formation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A bitter taste in the mouth from the hard palate can be due to an oral infection. This can happen due to plaque deposition also. Regular use of mouthwash and dental flossing will help. You need to use a mouthwash after brushing your teeth before going to bed. MRI scan can help in detecting any sinus in the area.
I hope this answers your query.

Have had dentist cleaning three or four times. Different prescription washes. No help. Crowns removed and cleaned/temps reinstalled. Had #9 pulled and post/crown installed. No help.

Brief Answer:
Can be ruled out after MRI scan.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If the area has been repeatedly cleaned and examined and an infection has been ruled out then it is possible that there is a small sinus that communicates with paranasal sinus and causes a foul smelling discharge. An MRI scan can help in detecting any internal abnormality.
