Brief Answer:
A few causes explained further...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are few conditions would cause leg pains while standing. It includes
1. Physical strain (abnormal metabolites like creatinine build up in the muscles especially if you have other medical illness such as diabetes, renal or liver disease)
2. Hypocalcemia (low calcium)
3. Some systemic illness like anemia and nutritional deficiency
4. Venous condition like varicose veins or venous congestion
5. Blood circulation blocks (atherosclerosis)
6. Local conditions like flat feet
7. Spinal condition (pinched nerve)

Without a physical examination of the patient I am unable to narrow down to a specific cause.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
