What Would Cause The Hearing Of Voices In The Head While Experiencing Insomnia Symptoms?

Question: A couple of nights ago I was having a hard time getting to sleep. After lying awake in bed for at least 6 hrs, I started to hear voices coming from inside my head. It sounded like laughter and a conversation between several people, but I couldn't make out what was being said. It was loud and intrusive and I couldn't focus on anything else. Sometimes they would start to fade, but as soon as I focused on it, it came back full volume. I thought it would drive me crazy and was just considering asking for help when it suddenly stopped. I'm afraid it'll happen again and I'm worried because I don't know what caused it.
Brief Answer:
This could be due to sleep deprivation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and understand your concerns.
From the available description it appears that you experienced auditory hallucinations. The phenomenon can occur after sleep deprivation and completely harmless unless there is reputation in future.
I must also inform you that it is very important to keep your sleep schedule upright as any deviation from normal schedule can bring these experiences.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
