Brief Answer:
Yes if there is breach of contact
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read you query and understand your concerns.
Most patients on controlled substances need to sign a contact before starting a medicine of controlled nature and he or she is expected to remain true to the terms and conditions of contract.
If there is breach of contract from the patient side, a doctor have full right to drop the patient even without warning irrespective of illness or medications unless there is risk to life.
Other than this doctors are expected to continue with the patient as long as he requires to get treated from same doctor.
I hope this answers you.
Thanks and regards.
