When Can Alcohol Be Consumed After Taking Lorazepam?
Question: Hello,
I have been taking 1mg of Lorazepam daily in the morning for about a month. I am wondering how long after taking it would it be safe to have a couple drinks of alcohol. With the effects of Lorazepam usually only lasting about 4 hours, would it be safe after this point?

Brief Answer:
It should not be connected with an alcohol.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Lorazepam has some sedative effect. It affects the same brain receptors as alcohol does. And its effect lasts from 9-19 hours.
This is the type of medicine which should not be connected with an alcohol. Otherwise it may cause serious problems including breathing problems.
24 hours seems to be the safe point after last dosage. But not 4 hours for sure.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
