When Can Sex Be Resumed Post Child Birth?

Question: hi doctor,

we blessed with a baby boy on 23 XXXXXXX 2014.

can you pls tell me the ideal date from when me and my wife can start having sex..... ??

I am a diabetic and have sinus and under mediation.

will it be any concern as the baby is on breast feeding ??

my age is 31 and wife's age is 26

Your baby is already 4 months old. You can start having sex with your wife. Just be careful to use a contraceptive method as the chances of pregnancy are present even if she is not having any periods due to breast feeding.
Having sex will not have any adverse effect on the breast feeding.

Since your wife is breast feeding it is best to use a multiload- CuT. It is safe and effective method of contraception. Otherwise you can use a barrier method like condoms.
