When Can Weight Lifting Be Resumed Post Surgical Decompression And Subacriomal Space With Partial Arcomioplasty?
Question: hi, 5 weeks ago I had shoulder surgery, the exact procedure was surgical decompression, subacriomal space with partial arcomioplasty. My shoulder has been getting stronger by the week, I do the pt exercises regularly. In your opinion when would a realistic time frame for getting back to weight lifting. Thank you for your time.
Brief Answer:
Tear or tendinitis? Please post MRI report
Detailed Answer:.
Hi,
Usually this procedure is done for Rotator cuff tendinitis or partial tariff Supraspinatus.
Please do post your MRI report for clarity.
If you have tear then it will take you 6-10 months or more after recovery to lift weights.
If only tendinitis then you can lift weights within 6 months of physiotherapy.
I hope I have answered your query.
