When Is One Prone To Syncope?
Symptoms are suggestive of pre-syncope.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your symptoms. Based on that, you seem to be suffering from pre-syncope and occasional syncope. In this condition, the blood supply to brain gets reduced for a short period. This is because of slight fall in the blood pressure due to prolonged standing and other factors.
You need further evaluation with tests such as: 1. HUTT test (head up tilt test); 2. ECG, 3. Echocardiogram; 4. Carotid doppler.
There is no need to worry, as it can be easily treated with medications.
As of now, you are on paxidep, which is an anti-depressant. The fact that this medicine is helping you means you also have some anxiety and depression feelings. You may continue this medicine.
Best wishes,
