Brief Answer:
condom and safe period method

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr. XXXX,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

Condom is one of the best and easy to use methods of contraception if one can use smartly. With that if safe period protection is applied it gives to 99.50% protection.

Safe period is the period of female menstrual cycle during which woman cannot become pregnant even after successful sex. Pregnancy occurs when sperm meets ovum in uterus. Ovulation from ovary occurs roughly around 14th day of menstrual cycle (when menses begins count it 1st day)in 28 days cycle. Pregnancy can occur in +/- 2 days of ovulation.
For example if your wife's last period was on 16th November and her period length is 29 days so approximate day of ovulation is 15th day of menses means 30th November. Sperm can remain alive in uterus up to 3 days. And ovum can be fertile up to 4 days. So chances of pregnancy in this case occur when successful intercourse is done from 27th November to 4th December maximum. If feasible you can avoid intercourse during this one week period. In other days of cycle (means 16th November to 26th November and 4th December to 14th December) there is almost no chance of pregnancy even after sperms enter the uterus. Same thing can be applied for next cycle. This method is useful when menstrual cycle is regular. When condom is used every time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy.

Every time after intercourse withdraw penis slowly by holding the condom from its edge so it does not dislodge. Check that condom is intact. If feasible ask your wife to wash vagina after sex.

Other option if your wife is comfortable is contraceptive pills. You can go to gynecologist and discuss about this option.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Brief Answer:
till 11th December chances are there

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for follow up.

Yes I also believe that OC pills should be avoided at this stage.

Her last period started on 22nd. If we consider her cycle maximum of 30 days her ovulation occurs on 7th December around. As ovum can be fertile maximum for 4 days in many cases there are chances that she can be pregnant up to 11th December. After 11 th there is almost 99.5% no chance of pregnancy. I am not telling 100% as we cannot predict length of cycle and ovulation date with 100% accuracy. One good idea is using ovulation kit. This will help to identify the day of ovulation and you can count the safe period easily.

Hope you got the answer.

Feel free to ask further if any doubt.
