When Should An Anomaly Scan Be Done During Pregnancy?

Question: I am in 19th week of pregnancy starting from 8th Oct 14 (from wednesday, two days before). Doctor has suggested me to take anomoly scan. When is the ideal time to take the scan? ie which week/day? Please suggest. All reports are normal till now. TT I dose completed yesterday

The ideal time for anomaly scan is between 18-20 weeks. You can get your anomaly scan around this time. Preferably prior to 20 weeks because of 2 reasons, first the organs will be developed during this time, so a detailed scan can be done. Secondly if there is any abnormality detected furthur decision can be taken at the earliest..

So from now any day upto 20 weeks is fine..
