When Should One Stop Consuming Alcohol Before An Alcohol Saliva Test?
Question: Taking an alcohol saliva test. How long before should I not drink?
Brief Answer:
Commonly 12 hours before you should stop drinking.
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Alcohol Saliva Test is commonly used strip or swab test for detection of recent alcohol use. Though the detection depends upon a number of factors like amount of alcohol used, metabolic factors in body, body structure etc. In general the test usually detects alcohol use in 12 hours preceding the test time.
So you should abstain yourself from using alcohol for at least 12 hours before test.
Thanks.
