When The Child Birth Can Be Expected?
Question: Dear Doctor,
This is continuation with my old question. My wife just completed 39 weeks and the due date as per the first scan is 15th November. The first baby was born out of C section 6 and half years back.
Today we met the doctor and she said that she will not wait beyond 40 weeks (Week ending 15th November) and said that we should not wait for labor pains to come and do a C section. Please let me know your views that we should wait beyond 40 weeks or or just plan a C section on 14th November. As per doctor today, baby is doing fine.
Regards

She should not wait longer than 40 weeks for pains and go for C section if spontaneous labour is not induced . Waiting any longer than 40 weeks can cause harm to baby.
