Brief Answer:
Emergency Contraception

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Emergency contraception, such as the pill your wife took (Unwanted 72), is highly effective in preventing pregnancy when taken within the recommended time frame after unprotected sex. Lemon or any other food consumption does not affect the effectiveness of the pill.

It is important to note that emergency contraception should not be used as a regular form of contraception, as it is less effective than regular methods and can have more side effects. It is recommended to use a regular form of contraception to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

If you and your wife have concerns about pregnancy or contraception, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare provider who can provide personalized advice and guidance.

Any follow-up query is welcome. Thank you.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Emergency contraception

Detailed Answer:
It's not uncommon for women to experience some delay in their periods after taking emergency contraception, and this delay can vary from woman to woman. So, if your wife has not yet started bleeding, it may not be a cause for immediate concern. However, if your wife's period is delayed for more than a week or two, she should take a pregnancy test to confirm whether or not she is pregnant.

You can consult a healthcare provider for further guidance and advice if you are still concerned. They can help answer any questions you may have and provide more personalized advice based on your situation.

Brief Answer:
Emergency contraception

Detailed Answer:
It's normal not to experience bleeding after taking an emergency contraceptive pill, as it works by delaying or preventing ovulation, and not by causing a period. However, some women may experience irregular bleeding or spotting, so this can vary from person to person.

It's important to note that emergency contraceptive pills are not 100% effective, and there is still a small risk of pregnancy even after taking them. If your wife misses her next period or experiences any unusual symptoms, she should take a pregnancy test and consult with a healthcare provider.

Thank you, take care
