When Will I Get My Periods After Taking Meprate Tablet?
Question: I am four months post partum. I wanted to have a copper-T inserted, so my gynic advised me to mepharate tablet , 1 everyday for five days. She asked me to come for the procedure on the fifth day of my period. Three days after stopping after the course of medication, I had light spotting, but no period. Will I get my periods? If so, When.?
PS: I have been diagnosed with PCOD and was taking progesterone tablets to regulate my periods before my pregnancy. Is PCOD affecting my cycle now as well?

Brief Answer:
Wait for 2-3 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Withdrawal bleeding can occur upto 5-7 days of stopping the tablets. So, the bleeding can occur in next 2-3 days.
If there is no bleeding, then a urine pregnancy test is advised to rule out any pregnancy.
PCOS can affect your cycle and periods .

Thanks doctor for the response. I am sure I am not pregnant as I am away from my husband since my delivery. You have mentioned that PCOS will affect the cycles, so does that mean mepharate tablet might not work? What's is the next course of action.
PS: I am having a lot of white discharge. I got the spotting last Friday. No periods yet.

Hi doctor, in reference to the above question. My doctor has prescribed loette tablets to be taken twice a day, for 6 days. She said I will be getting my periods after completing the medication. After purchasing the tablet I realised its a 21 day contraceptive pill. My confusion is should I have the last 12 tablets ONLY or start the tablet from the start and stop the tablets after 6 days. Which would induce my periods? And in how many days will I get my periods after taking the pills. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.
Brief Answer:
Initial 12 tablets
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, you should take initial 12 tablets, 2 tablets twice a day for 6 days.
Periods can occur anytime within 5-7 days of stopping the tablet.
