Posted on Tue, 12 Jul 2016
Question: Hello...I'm 23 years old. I had unprotected sex on XXXXXXX 7th and next day I consumed I pill around 10.00am. Usually I have protected sex and yet I take I pill for more safety..and I used to experience bleeding few days after. I know that's common. But surprisingly I didn't not experience vaginal bleeding this time at all. The penis was taken out when it was about to shoot. I'm assuming that the sperm couldn't have gone inside. Please clarity why I did not experience the vaginal bleeding and will I be pregnant ?

Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy are there

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The withdrawal bleeding should occur within 7-10 days of taking I pill.
However, in rare cases, bleeding do not occur.
However, chances of pregnancy are more if withdrawal bleeding do not occurs.
I will suggest you to wait for the periods, if delayed, then do get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

I pill also has a failure rate

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, i pill has a failure rate of 2 %, even if taken within 12 hours.
Precum on the penis prior to ejaculation can also lead to pregnancy.
