Pain stopping pain medicine is not that easy for a person who is in pain.

In fact very limited date is given in the question so its a bit difficult to understand the situation .The management of the pain depends on the type and severity of the pain, the general rule is that we start with the safest drug and we go up until the pain is relieved .Once the pain is relieved we can always come down where we will be just ok with the pain, so when the pain is controlled , its well justified to stop the medicine, or if your pain medicine might have caused you any harm , we also stop the medicine.
