Whether Or Not I Need To Go To The Emergency Room For Ischemic Stroke?
Question: Hello. On Friday, I somehow fell off the toilet and ended up banging my forehead and the bridge of my nose quite hard on the edge of the tub. I had a large bump on my forehead, which is slowly going down in size. Today, I noticed some dark purple bruising on the eyelid and near the tear duct of my right eye. This evening, I noticed that the same sort of bruising is beginning to appear on my left eye as well. I have a history of ischemic stroke in March of 2021, and I have an unruptured brain aneurysm that is being monitored by a neurosurgeon. I am wondering whether or not I need to go to the emergency room for this or if I can wait until Monday to contact my primary care physician.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If same type of bruise is appearing in other eye, then definitely it is cause of concern and urgent brain imaging may be needed.
But aneurysmal rupture is unlikely, because that would have more severe symptoms and associated headache.
I Hope Your Query is clear now.
Thank You
